Molly German (She/her)
Hello! My name is Molly (she/her), and I am in the final year of my master’s in Social Work program at the University of Chicago. I also have a bachelor’s degree from Boston University where I studied Fine Arts and Psychology.
My passion for becoming a therapist is rooted in helping clients feel truly heard, understood, and safe. I believe that comfort and trust are the foundation of any meaningful therapeutic relationship, and I strive to foster that connection with warmth, empathy, and authenticity. I’m especially drawn to understanding people through a holistic lens by considering the biological, psychological, and social influences that have shaped their lives. My goal is to support and empower clients as they navigate challenges, build self-awareness, and achieve meaningful growth.
Prior to joining DASC, I had experience working with children, teens, and adults of various racial backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and sexual orientations. My practice often includes a mix of therapeutic interventions, including (but not limited to) Psychoanalytic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
In my free time, I enjoy oil and watercolor painting, reading memoirs, listening to spooky podcasts, and playing volleyball.
