ACT Group
Mondays from 4:00pm-5:00pm
The Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Group is focused on helping clients become more aware of thoughts and emotions that get in the way of valued action. It works on helping clients learn how to have a different relationship with their thoughts and emotions in order to decrease the negative impact of these internal experiences on their lives.
Clients will learn and practice mindfulness-based skills and techniques aimed at decreasing their struggle with their emotional discomfort. Simultaneously, this group is focused on helping clients build awareness of their personal values and setting goals to help them move towards the life they want for themselves.
